I was wondering if any avid shoppers at GPF can tell me what the membership perks are.

I read on another Canadian site that said a a free 11th bag of food (not sure how outdated this is)

I don't know if its for all types of food but I buy orijen and they gave me a card they stamp for the buy 10 get 1 free deal. Don't have to be a member, just ask for it.

It depends on the manufacturer of the food I think, most of them seem to be buy 10, get 1 free (of course you don't have to buy all 10 at once).

I like this program because there is no spam, you don't even have a membership card, just tell them your phone number and it's all in their computer. The ones I go to, you don't even have to carry a card to get stamped, the computer remembers how many you've already bought.

In their computer? The one global I used to go to had a drawer with all the punch cards lined up. He pulled you up by your last name.

I feed a mixture of brands to my kids, so I had a stack of 10 cards in his drawer. I insisted he didn't need to keep them as it would take years to reach the 11th bag of any one food, but he insisted louder. Nice people, in general. I encourage anyone to shop there (and ryan's). Great staff, and they're willing to special order stuff.

Recently went to the Doncaster one to get a pack of Acana to see what the hype is about.. Lady didn't really tell me what the card is about, but I plan to shop there as it's much closer to my location compare to Petsmart..

Didn't get a punchcard, so I am sure it's done through their system.

Anyone know when they begin selling their dry food at 50% off? I noticed they had some with this sticker with an expiry date of March-April 2012

I go to the Doncaster Av one too, they're pretty good (they remember me and what our cats take). I've never noticed them selling old food at a discount. I get the impression (may be wrong) that the manufacturer doesn't allow it or that they can send it back to the manufacturer rather than taking a loss on it. I know that if your animal doesn't like the food, you can return it partially eaten, and the store can send it back without taking a loss on it.

I saw a 50% sticker on some strange dog food.
I think it was about a dog and some moon and gold. it had a sparkly blue bag haha. I couldn't even tell what the flavor was.
