I received a gift card for my birthday and thought great I could go to Zellers and spend it on a Vanilla Mastercard.
Standing in line I read a sign stating they do not allow you to spend gift cards on gift cards.
I understand the issue for them but as a customer the statement a gift card is as good as money is wrong if they have
all these stipulations.

So are there ways to get around this?
Can I buy something with my gift card and exchange it for credit to then turn around and buy a giftcard?
Any suggestions would help me figure out what to do with the damn thing.

Amount is $25

Havent returned a item in a long time, searching the net seems most companies wont take anything without a receipt.
Looks like Im screwed.

Here's a thought...why not just stroll around Zellers and buy something from there? You could always buy a DVD/Blu-Ray or something else...or just regift it to someone else. Buying a vanilla CC will lose you money already because of the initial purchase fee.
