I am looking for a pet carrier for my dog. She is a small size dog and is about 8lbs. I'm looking for a carrier like a purse/airplane carrier for when I take her places. I want start looking for one now because I plan on taking her to Woofstock this year and think it would be safer for her if she was in a carrier.

I found a couple on ebay...but does anyone else have recommendations for something safe, breathable for the dog and also easier to carry for me.

Why would you bring your dog to Woofstock and keep it in a crate? What do you think is unsafe about Woofstock? I've been there numerous times and I'd never keep my dog in a crate. Good luck carrying it around in the crowds of people and dogs. Woofstock is a good place to practice socialization.

There are TONNES of dog crates for sale on kijiji. Take a look, I'm sure you would find one to suit your needs.

We bought ours from PetSmart....our doggy is about 8-9lbs as well but pretty long body....

So we ended up getting this soft carrier (good for airplane as well tho we won't be taking her on an airplane soon):

It has held up though the front door uses cardboard inside the liner and our doggy gnawed the crap out of it so we ended up removing the cardboard (cutting apart some of the material).

But overall, pretty good, functional and well built.
