You are saving approximately $100 on each configuration. Please note that configurations 2 and 3 come with Windows 7 Professional and an upgraded warranty.

Can you get rid of Windows Professional and the extra warranty for a $100-$200 discount?

Dell's basic warranty on XPS computers is good enough for most people, and Windows 7 Professional doesn't offer a lot more than Home Premium.

I will commit to a GB that drops the price of configuration 2 to $1,100 or less.

Unfortunately, I am unable to downgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium on the latter two configurations. Downgrading the warranty would save you $75.

I doubt you would be able to find anything comparable to configuration 2 for $1100 given that many ultrabooks similar to configuration 1 are selling for around that price (eg. Asus Zenbook).

Closing this deal because Dell has raised their prices on me. :(
