Hello,
I have paid two different online businesses to unlock a used Fido Acer liquid E phone I bought from kijiji. They have been unable to unlock. Result with a local unlock business has also been 'not found'.
canadagsm.ca was one. I can't remember the other one.
anyone have an idea as to why this is happening? The person i bot it from said he bot it from Fido. One thing I have noticed is that the imei number on the acer box is different from what's on the phone. *#06# was pressed to get that number. The one on the box hasnt been tried.
Any suggestions as to what I can try would be appreciated. I would also like to try rooting the phone. Should this be done before unlocking or after? It runs on froyo 2.2. I will be changing it to android version 2.3 gingerbread.
