On Friday March 23, the Vancity Theatre is having a free screening of the entire first season of Game of Thrones. Doors open at 7:30am and episode 1 starts at 8am. First come, first served. Each subsequent episode starts on the hour with episode 10 starting at 6pm.

There's also a gap between 5-6pm when HBO Canada is doing giveaways and such. The Iron Throne from the show will be in the lobby for photos and sitting in.

Also, according to the Vancity Theatre e-newsletter: "The first 40 fans to be seated in the theatre for the 6 p.m. finale will win a box set of Game of Thrones Season 1"

I saw YVR in the headline and was like, "You have to go to the airport to get this deal?"

Thanks for the deal OP.

Just FYI, YVR doesn't stand for Vancouver, it is the airport code for Vancouver International Airport. VAN would be the abbreviation.

Whoops, mental lapse. I meant GVR, although it's not unheard of (at least in Twitterland) to use airport codes as shorthand to refer to the city as a whole.

You learn something new everyday. Strange to use airport code since some cities have more than one international airport...but Twitter never really made much sense to me anyways.
