Has anyone tried this (or similar)?
How safe and reliable are they?
How do they work - I was always told not to put an alkaline battery into a recharger, so obviously this is different/new technology - I'm assuming you can't put a regular re-chargeable battery into one of these?
Can it (or similar) be had for less elsewhere?

Thanks.

I would steer clear. Pure Energy has been pimping 'rechargable alkaline' batteries and chargers for a couple of decades. The reality is they don't work and the batteries leak and corrode.
