Marpac DOHM NSF (newest model, highest rated sleep conditioning unit on the market, only one recommended by the 'National Sleep Foundation').
If you are a light sleeper, and live in a condo/apartment (or travel on business) this is the best unit on the market.
These work very well (I use them at home and while on business trips as I always seem to get stuck next to noisy neighbours)....

I purchased a bunch for family/friends when I was in the US last week, and have two left-over (new / unused / retail packaging). I have opened them to test them; both have manufactured dates of February'12.
