Pretty much what the title says. I'm looking for a nice laptop to use since my x61 tablet is dying out on me. Any ideas?

That's a really broad question. What screen size do you prefer and what's your budget?

I think 14-15 for the size is the minimum and my budget is $1000

I can get you a Dell Alienware M14X with an i7 quad-core but it will be around $1100+tax.

I'm in the market for the same thing, except that I'm looking into a 17" screen.

So if I find something, I'll post here.

So far, I'm contemplating Dell's XPS 17 (the 3rd one up - starts at $1099). I've had an XPS M1530 for around 4 years now, and it's never failed me, even after being dropped on the floor.
