Itinerary for Disneyland, Universal studios and San Francisco?

Ok so my friends and I are planning to travel to California on the 26th from Vancouver. Our plan is take the Quickshuttle from Riverrock to SEATAC to save on the airfare. Should we fly to San Francisco first or LA first? It seems like most of the places to stay that surround Disneyland are fully booked. What now?

Last time I went to LA on a self tour I stayed in my friend's place in La and we took local bus to Disney land and Universal studio.
