I've been complaining on their facebook page for months that they aren't showing this in Toronto with no response. Recently happened upon an article that it is being shown here, right now! I guess those people only deal with American distribution...
Anyways, just a heads up that it currently plays at the bell tiff lightbox. don't know how long it runs but might only be a few days left. great music and cinematography. any Sushi or food lovers should not miss this.

Here's all the showtimes for Jiro at Lightbox. I'm not sure if it's running past the 29th, so if you want to check it out, you should!

Google would've answered your question but someone is lazy. Jiro Dreams of Sushi was a film festival documentary, not some random documentary that you find on online streaming sites.

I saw this movie last weekend. I thought it was okay, but sometimes I wondered if these people genuinely like Jiro or they're just being nice because they're standing right beside him. Like that rice dealer guy who claims he won't certain rice to anyone other than Jiro, because only Jiro is capable of cooking it properly.

Good point. Definitely looks like he's playing it up. Probably thinking "Of course I only sell my most expensive rice to the most superior customer.. wink wink"
While he may not have the capability to sell it to a larger, institution type place, I'm willing to bet that he also supplies other smaller sushi shops and restaurants.

I recently saw this movie and I thought the close ups of all the food were so mouth watering!
To think that Tamago (the egg) is harder than almost any other dish that a sushi chef will prepare.
