Why create a thread, ask a question and answer it for yourself?

That is a doctored photo. According to the article it was photoshopped old photo of her.
Nice research OP.
This post has no value and neither did the article that it referenced. Nothing to back anything up other than naming a school, no pictures or reference and naming a site, no pictures no reference.
Referencing the Enquirer would have more credibility

That's not "interesting" at all. It's a bloody disgrace. By rights they should have tattooed "666" across her face when she was convicted, she should have been thrown into isolation in a windowless cell for the rest of her (ideally) miserable life, and ultimately she should spend eternity roasting in Hell. Fortunately that last part's still pretty much a given. It can't come soon enough. Hopefully her jealous ex-girlfriend will track her down.
BTW, for years in the St Catharines Standard newspaper you would see In Memoriams posted for two of her victims, both her younger sister and Kristen French, around Christmas. Sickeningly the Homolkas always put the killer's name in their post, just like she was a regular mournful relative. I don't know if they still do it, but they probably do, and it really should be stopped. I'm not even going to acknowledge her name myself.

How can she become a teacher with a criminal record?

I wonder if her employer knows about her criminal past in Canada? Perhaps someone should forward it to them if they are not aware.

How can she become anything with her record? She should be shunned and ignored for the rest of her days, and should never be allowed to work anywhere.

I suspect "Guadaloupes" standards may not be as high as Ontarios.
Could be all her name changes have shaken off her criminal record.

I remember there was a ex-porn star working in an elementary school doing clerical work, and she was fired because of her past (rfd had a long thread about her). So if rfd and others know where homolka works, the school should also be aware of this. I think the parents of her students would be outraged to find out who she really is.

You might be very much surprised. I believe Guadeloupe is regarded as equivalent to a county/district within mainland France, and gets an equivalent level of education. It may even attract top French teachers thanks to its Caribbean climate. British Caribbean colonies offer higher education standards than Ontario too. And unless things have changed a lot, they even get their education in US/Canadian/UK/etc universities paid for by the state.
BTW, did you know that at the end of the Seven Years War, after Quebec was captured, France was offered a choice of which territory they wanted back - Canada or Guadaloupe? They chose sugar-producing Guadaloupe. We're not the centre of the universe after all.

Interesting....and yet.....the reason we are having this conversation about Guadaloupes is.........wait for it....
....The fact that a notorious former serial killer of teenagers whose only work background prior to prison was as a veterinary assistant, is a school teacher there.
So no, I'm not surprised....a banana republic is a banana republic.
I could prob get a medical degree there by this time next year.

It's difficult to see how she got a teaching job there, if she truly has. It's possible that the Caribbean schools I'd heard of are actually the very best on the islands, and the rest are very low quality. Hopefully she's at a bottom rung drug and crime infested school. Not that any school should be that bad. And she definitely shouldn't be around kids anywhere. Hopefully parents will learn who she really is and do something about it. American blondes vanish without trace down there. Why not her too? It's not like anybody in their right mind will bother looking for her.
BTW, I really hope she no longer has the right to return here, even for a visit. She should never have been released in the first place.

Hehe...ya if it can happen to natalee holloway, why not Karla?;)
As a Canadian citizen, I suspect she can return anytime she wants. But why would she? I'd be down there if I could, esp in her shoes. More interesting how she got into another country...but again, banana republics.

Either the link (Oct 2011) that the OP provided is wrong about the whereabouts of Homolka or the article from the National Post (also Oct 2011) is wrong.
http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2011/10/11/barbara-kay-women-are-not-always-the-gentler-sex/
National Post article says that Homolka is back in Montreal with now 3 kids.
The link the OP provided is just some random website where it state he/she received a communication that she is a teacher at said school. To me it seems like there is no confirmation to this and they are just guessing.

Life after death is anything but a given so its more likely she will enjoy her life with hew boyfriend and live the canadian dream better than most of us and die peacefully in her sleep.
