We want to get my young son some guitar lessons - he already has a guitar and our first thought was to use a local music instruction business. One of my friends, who lives outside my area, said that he hired someone to come to his house and give 1-1 lessons for roughly the same amount of money and thought it worked out well. Travel time would make his instructor not work for us.
I think on the surface it's a great idea, but I have concerns that if I advertise around I'll just get some guy asking after the business. I checked Goldbook for smaller places that might do this, but no luck.
So first off, is this crazy? And if not, anyone have someone they used in the Durham region?
