WD TV, Apple TV, Roku, etc. Which is the best, is anything on sale, and if not when's the best time to buy (should I wait until next Boxing Day? I'm in no rush).
I'd just like to digitize my media collection at some point. I'm not really interested in streaming to multiple devices or room, just storage for files, and playback on the TV it's hooked up too. Netflix would be nice too, but not necessary. I'm not a member, but I wouldn't mind subscribing if I end up with a device that supports it. So, important points: quality, storage size, file support (like mkv), HDMI and optical out, surround sound, nice interface.
