Well if you go to Ikea sheets, I remember spending on $75-$100 (I forget how much) on basic sheets.

400 thread count is higher than Ikea's and for half the price is not a bad deal. I believe the higher the thread count the softer the sheets will be.

The last set of king sized sheets I purchased was for $75 (on sale for 50% off $150) last fall at Macy's. I think they were about a 300 count as I prefer a crisper/cool feel but they also had to fit my 20 inch high mattress.
These are a good price but they only fit up to a 17 inch mattress and lots of pillowtops now exceed that.

I don't know how good a deal this is. 400 TC is okay, but not great. If they're definitely 100% Egyptian cotton, they should be nice and soft. But, my mother bought some high thread count "Egyptian cotton" sheets through a group site somewhere down in the Carolinas and they were cheap, ratty and not worth it.

You can get 650 TC Egyptian cotton sheets at Winners for $70.

exactly, from what Ive read on the website and the pictures from the source "www.seasontex.com" they dont look to be "authentic Egyptian cotton" but however I am currently looking for some good high TC bed sheets for a good price anyone know any other places local that sell for a decent price other than winners?

I really like the quality of Lands End bedding and often there is free shipping to Canada and they have very good sales.

I got a Queen size sheet set for $20 last year that is 400tc- but it is NEON PINK~
I kind of don't mind as all my other lands end bedding is always blue and white stripe,beige,grey/
