Hi all. My wife gets a corporate plan for Rogers through her work and we are looking to switch over from prepaid. We don't need a data plan.

Which device is the best option for us? From what i can see, it looks like the top choices would be the Acer Liquid MT, Nokia X7, or BB 9360. Any recommendations of one over the others? Am I missing any options available to us?

We mainly want good call quality, nice user interface, and ease of texting.

Thanks in advance.

What's wrong with using the existing phone?

Nothing really, but if we're signing a contract now, we can get a deal on a new phone so we want to take advantage of that. :)

If SMS is a big part of her usage, get the BlackBerry.

She will appreciate the keyboard

Acer is horrible

Nokia is okay

Thanks for the info.

Didn't know the Acer was that bad. Reviews seem decent.

You might want to check out Nokia Lumia 710. Hardwarewise, at 1.4ghz single core, it faster than the other smartphones on the list. It is "Free" with 3 year voice plan.

BB 9360 or Lumia 710, you will have more fun with the lumia but the bb is very reliable and has a good keyboard.

Search the RFD forum, there is a huge thread on rogers wireless offerings. I have a corporate plan with them at $17.42 per month, with all calling features and 250 incoming, 250 outgoing daytime minutes, unlimited evening and weekends. It does come with small helping of 125 text. You will have to pay for a text add on if you want more. As for hardware, get an android device. You don't need a physical keyboard to text. The swype app is better than a keyboard.
