Hi all,
Just wondering if any body experience this situation.
After working at another place for 6 months which i hated and thought it was stupid and a waste of time, i decided to find another job which is the current job I'm working now. i started this job in December 2011 so its a bit shy of 4 months right now. i recently found out that the owner of the company (kind of small, this brench has about 12 people) is going to move the company to the out skirts Mississauga/oakville. Right now i'm traveling about 35km taking me an hour to get there. when they move to the new location its gonna be about 70~80km a trip which brings up the traveling time to 2 hours a trip... so round trip 4 hours on about 150km a day...
The compensation that they are given is 10~25 (depends on what car you drive) cent per extra kilometer we have to travel. which at the price of gas and what the gas is gonna cost its not even close to be enough....
but i've already planned to leave the company within 1~2 years already where as this move is gonna happen October ~ November
so my question is, if i jump to another job in say 6 months of working here, would it look bad on my resume?, if it does what should I do? I mean travelling that far is not happening....
second question, my co-worker said he was reading somewhere that said if the company moves and causes you to not be able to go/loses your job, are they required for any kind of compensation of any sort if you do choice to leave?
but any suggestions other then start searching for jobs? :D
Thanks~
