That law died a few times in past years under the Harper minority governement, but should pass this time with Harper's majority control of the partliament. Then, the american SOPA (Stop Online Privacy Act) appears to be in limbo?

It's going full steam ahead with Vic toewes bill. Even though there is zero evidence to justify the changes they want implemented. America's SOPA is dead as far as I know because of the huge backlash and the huge inconvenience of half the Internet going black.
