I bought a camera bag from Futureshop a week ago, but now realise it's not exactly what I want. I have the receipt still, and there is no damage to the bag. The only thing is I removed the tag from it and threw it out. Are they going to allow me to return this?
Their return policy states "in its original condition and packaging" but I'm not sure if snipping off a little tag would fall under that.

Call a store and ask them
In their return policy on their website, which I'm assuming u didn't read, says there could be a charge for any missing packaging, accessories or manuals

I would rate your chances of full refund at less than 50%. In the case of camera bags, which are usually not sold in bags or boxes, the tag(s) you threw away were the retail packaging. It's often a significant admin expense for a retailer to have to manually re-tag a product with the correct SKU, plus obviously other shoppers will tend to steer clear of a unit that lacks factory tags. The tag on a camera bag usually also spells out the details of the warranty, if there is one.

Why couldn't you have figured out that the camera bag wasn't what you wanted (assuming it was a size issue?) without taking the tags off?
I've taken back opened USBs back before without any issues - I had bought a size but later realized the size is not going to be enough so I returned it. They were okay about the open package, but like previous poster said, ymmv.

as long as your with in the 30 day return period you will be ok the bags not having a tag is not a big deal i work in a camera department for futureshop and some camera bags like the nikon ones do not even ship with tags other bags customers rip tags off out of arrogance in the store. You really should be ok to return that bag and get a full 100% refund so dont stress bud.
