Anyone know any good vets downtown that are good/affordable? Im fed up with my old vet that always tries to up-sell.

I go to The Bathurst-Dupont Animal Hospital (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/bathurst-dupont-animal-hospital-toronto). It's a no-frills vet and definitely one of the cheapest I've found in DT Toronto. I believe they've recently moved to be right by Bathurst Station, so it should be relatively easy to get there without a car. It's about $48 a visit, and I think like $25 or so for a followup (if needed).
Just to give you an idea of the cost difference, I got quoted $500+ my french bulldog pup to be neutered in Markham.. and around $300 at Bathurst-Dupont.

Depends on what you're looking for, the VEC just north of Davenport on Yonge is great and I'm always surprised by how relatively low the bills are. They're very "fix the immediate problem," so never any up-sell or anything. Call and see if they'll look after your issue.
