Girls Nite Out Clubbing... Where to go? [Archive]

I am planning a girls nite out clubbing... either on a Friday or Saturday nite and I am having a hard time deciding on which club we should go to for a girls nite out...based on the lack of feedbacks and our limited experience at clubbing :)

Could some of you share or chime on your experience(s) and add your comment (s) on these places below if you do not mind ...like is there a charge to get into some of these clubs? what kind of crowd to expect? the feel of the club etc.. RFD ladies, please feel free to chime in or share your experiences and suggest any clubs that you have been that are fantastic :)

Based on this previous thread, these are the comments and feedback I got so far from some of the places :) FYI, we are not just looking only for Asians Clubs :)

-Easy and the Fifth: Mid-20's crowd, but people there just seem to be classier and more fun - also $3 drinks before 12.

-Babyface (East end):

Thursday/Saturday draws the 19-25 year olds although it's been pretty empty recently.

Full of LGs. And by "LGs", I mean ... girls that are blatantly underage.

Friday nights at Babyface is a much older crowd.

TINY place! And kind of confusing, there's karaoke rooms in the back. But they have laser beams that go from the ceiling to the floor.

It's all SUPER asian (the type that doesn't speak English very well )

The place is dirty and full of people who smoke indoors...

-XS: Draws a trashy younger crowd...the 3-4 times I've been there, there's always at least one fight going down

-Embassy: seems to draw a mix of fob/CBC crowd nowadays..

-Red Square

-Rockwood: much more mixed. Not just Asians.

-Wet Bar

-C lounge (dt)

-This is London (dt): where some of the Asian promoting companies moved recently...for the past 3 weeks consecutively, it's been good.

-Luxy (vaughan)

-Guv

-CLUB MONACO

-Roxy

-Mirage

Maro's not bad. I might go there this saturday - so maybe I will bump into you gals :lol:

FYI - there's also a few more upscaler clubs/lounges that you ladies might enjoy (with mixed crowds - more 70% white, and 30% other). Gender is pretty 50/50 I would say, expect to be hit on by guys too lol

It's essentially three clubs in one: Rock, Wood and Grass. Each is on it's own level and you can move between them for different decor.

I kinda think Rockwood lost it's flair now. It used to be the "IT" spot a few years back, but now it's kinda run down a bit.

Not sure if they opened up the upstairs patio yet too - so that's gonna suck if they keep upstairs closed.

This club was full of overweight and unattractive chicks when I went and the interior was trash.

no. tough you might enjoy upscale lounges where u can actually hear one another and sit at a table properly. clubbing is an early 20s thing with a few people not growing out of it until their 40s. For specific dancing clubs, thats a different area. I used to go clubbing from 19 to around 22 when beer was 1.50 on sundays and before 11 and shots were 3 bucks on saturday nights. Used to blow through 100 a night back then, i dont wanna even think what it would cost now, better off at a strip club since prices arent far off these days.

I club a lot. Been to most places but I somehow keep going back to fifth.
Why? cause I get free cover and on fridays drinks are only $3.50 before midnight. Crowd and music are usually decent.

Other noteworthy places:
Musik on saturday: nice big place, somewhat vegas glam feel

This is london and ultrasup. club: I usually go only when there's special event or long weekend...

Brassai / cheval / devils martini: some nights good, some nights not so good.

If you want a more classier club go with anything on the king st district.... XS , embassy(now torn down) and the whole Richmond area is horrible which is why half of it is gone now, also rockwood is pretty lame.

So cobra, cheval, even century room is the way to go.... Personally I only go to queen west or loft party's downtown because there way cooler but most of these are not even made public unless your in the scene

No. I can honestly say I've never had a good time at a club. Pubs are much better (you can actually talk to people), and the girls you meet there are a lot more fun.

Find a safe place to park, start off at the rippers on younge, then walk down or take the subway around queen, king and richmond and pop into any bar that sounds good.

It is so much better than waiting in line, and if you ask me you are bound to find more interesting things to do.

I haven't been in the area for a few years now, so I can't name the big clubs, but the clubs which are less packed are usually more fun. Jmo...

Just don't wear high heels and it's always a good time walking around Toronto. Younge street is littered with pubs and tiny bars too, so that's an option if you decide dancing at a club after the strippers is no good. Then if you are out really late, you might get lucky and hear some music playing in the distance or there might be a few flyers out and about. jmo...

One of my favorite places was a tiny bar that had a second story rooftop dancefloor right around Peter and Adelaide. I just stumbled across it one day and kept going back. It was never packed, but some nights it was just a really good small crowd. I don't even remember it's name.

Just don't drift too far east beyond jarvis, or too far west past bathurst, ect... and there will be tons of stuff along King, Queen, Adelaide, even Richmond, or Younge and sometimes Spadina.

Depends. I work in a town and clubbing on the weekend is the only time I get to see attractive women because my work has none. It's the only place you can approach a girl without saying anything and start grinding her and get her number. If you have a decent conversation with her after you have a pretty good chance of meeting up with her again. I also find a club a great place to practice my social skills. If the club is big enough you can approach any girl and and say whatever you want because chances are youll never see her again so you get a little more ballsy.

That's how I met my FWB. So if you are into that kind of stuff then I would recommend going. I've seen the biggest dorks dance with some hot girls so I think it's a pretty cool place to check out.

One place that I don't really recommend is Club 1812 in the Thomson Hotel...I think it is called Club 1812...

Don't get me wrong, the Thomson Hotel is a beautiful building...very smart, chic and modern...everything looks great...but the club seems to be geared to snobby people?

A lot of beautiful people there...all dolled up but seems like everyone there wants to be "seen"...just the vibe I got..

Brant and Maro I didn't really feel that...sure, they make you wait in line outside when it isn't THAT busy but I had gone early enough that it wasn't rammed..

Besides, I don't go that much clubbing nowadays...seems silly to pay for watered down, overpriced drinks and also be made to wait in line to get in....as if!

Yea I didn't feel the snobbiness either at Maro (maybe some at Brant). If a girl is liking what she sees, she'll make you aware of it :lol:

I also love that Maro is usually quite a mixed crowd (can't remember if Brant was since I was hammered the only time I went), this is my scene, nice mixed crowd - I really dislike places where majority of the crowd belongs to one race.

After planning for a month and hearing "good" things and word of mouth about Easy and the Fifth, our group opted to go there...

While the place is nice, I was surprised to see it being quite small...

The music was also extremely lame... I could have DJ myself for some better dance music...

I wouldn't go there again (unless it was free)... Therefore, not worth the $15 cover charge (actually I think it is a rip off to be charging that kind of price to get in) There was nothing good with that place.. other than the $3.50 drinks before midnight...btw, I had four drinks and didn't even have the slightest effect of an alcohol buzz *Definitely watered down drinks* ... quite an overrated club....

Since the club was getting very crowded... and it was getting harder and harder to dance ( being bumped elbows and knuckles with so many people walking by)... we ended up leaving around 1:28am ... beating the 2:00am crowd..

definitely will have to club elsewhere next time...

Former university kid clubber here.

I was the type to go clubbing, get absolutely Effed then eat a bunch of pizza to suck the alcohol in few hours before my exam starts or my 40% presentation starts at 8:00 am.

2 to 3 years ago

Tuesdays : Century Room , 21+ crowd, mostly white people with a mix of few Asians and others.
Wednesdays : Frequency, now known as City. Again, mixed and more mature crowd.
Thursdays : Century Room
Fridays : I try not to go since clubs get polluted by trash and children.
Saturday : Rockwood or The Courthouse, mixed crowd. Beware of FAT B%$#%!!!

If you're the type to grind with 50+ year old Asian men on the first floor wearing glasses inside the club, or flirt with 13 year old looking wanna be gangster Asian kids on the upper floors, go to Guvernment during the weekend.
If you're the type to grind with creepy brown kids on the first floor and horny black dudes on the 2nd floor, The Mansion is the way to go.

But again, take note, this is from 2 to 3 years ago, times may now have changed. I haven't gone clubbing in awhile since I started working. :P

Went to This Is London last weekend with the girlfriend and her friends. Lots and lots of guys who will come out of nowhere, grab you, and try to grind with you. A fight almost broke out because this one guy just wouldn't go away. Good times.

Girl to guy ratio was good. Music was good. Good cultural mix. Just watch out for the abnormally large number of grabby guys. One guy even grabbed me by mistake. :lol:
