which console are you thinking of?

For Xbox, the Turtle Beach Earforce Headset (XLC) is pretty cheap, goes for $29.99 at FS.

If you want something a little more sturdy, then the Turtle Beach XL1 Earforce is 10 dollars more. They're not Bose quality, but they're decent for the price, and they're not uncomfortable either.

Steelseries headsets are pretty good IMO, Although they don't really go on sale.

Other then that the Corsair headset line seems pretty good also.

Keep and eye out for sennhaeiser sales at FS.....sorry I don't know of any sales right now other than a pair of Turtle Beach X11s that I have used once but don't like. Maybe you would like them....they are not for me.
