I'm in the market for a pentaband smartphone. This is because I have Fido and I use T-Mo when I go down to the States. With a pentaband phone I can simply swap the SIM cards and I'm good to go. I have been eyeing Galaxy Nexus for a while but it's still too pricey. Also, I'm not particularly impressed with the fact that my Nexus S still has yet to receive OTA Ice cream sandwich update, when the whole selling feature of stock android phones was timely updates.
Can anyone recommend me a pentaband android phone?

Worth noting, having timely updates was not a selling feature of the Nexus, it's a selling feature that customers claimed it has. Nowhere in the advertising will you see Samsung or Google advertising the Nexus S or Galaxy as the first to receive updates.

galaxy nexus, telus sgs2x/tmobile t989, and the htc amaze are the only pentaband phones right now. All expensive-ish (around the same price), you won't see pentabands on midrange handsets for a bit yet.

Pretty much the above. Some have claimed to get the Galaxy Note to work on Wind/Mobilicity.

Any suggestions for where to buy an unlocked sgs2x/tmobile t989? Saw the refurb deal on Telus, but it would appear that opportunity via the Team Store website is dead?
