Anyone know of any better general deals through any travel sites? Travelocity currently has a $100 off deal when you book hotel and airline. Itravel2000 has a "farebuster" where you can save $200 in taxes on select properties.

Anyone aware of anything else? Trying to see if I can shave a little more off the upcoming vacation.

The tax buster isn't an itravel thing, rather a sunwing/signature thing which means it's available at all Canadian travel sites. In general, all the sites offer the same prices for the pre-packaged vacations, where you'll find the difference is where you book flight and hotel separately (or in a build your own package).

Right, they all gather the prices from the same places.. Hence why I was asking if any sites had any site or company specific deals (ie the Travelocity deal which gives you $100 back for booking with an Amex card).

Thanks! :D

All those sites are pretty much identical.. the question is when are you planning your vacation, how many people and are you okay on last minute deals. When I say last minute, I don't mean within a couple of days, still plenty of time about a week or two to even a month. Most of the airlines are going to try to fill the seats last minute and that's when you can save the most. If you plan too far ahead that's when you'll be paying almost full price. When I plan my vacations now here's some steps I take:

1 Figure out where you want to go
2 Figure out how much you are willing to spend (most all inclusive resorts are around $1500/person on double occupancy)
3 Pick a couple of resorts and read the reviews
4 Go on the websites you mentioned and check for last minute deals for the resorts you picked.
5 Keep checking and you'll see the prices will drop (also depending on the day you leave, it might be cheaper leaving a day or 2 sooner or later, always check the prices for different days).

You'll be surprise how much money you can save! I just got back from Rivierya Maya at the Occidental Grand Xcaret just a week ago and I paid around $1600, I had to book it ahead of time becuase it was for a wedding. Some friends decided to go last minute and got the same reservations online a week before for only $1962 for 2 people ($981/person).
