My dad wants me to find an office job for this summer.. (aka now)
Basically a job where I work in an office environment..
My only job experience is Newspaper for Mississauga news several years ago..
I'm 19 and I'm DECENT with computers, got my basic computer knowledge and stuff.
So yeah... any tips on what I can do or where I can do it.
Thanks.

Why does he specify an office job? Is that what you want?

You are way past the internship application deadline most companies set for in January. If you're still in high school come the fall semester, your best bet is to enroll in a co-op course and ask to work in a company with an office environment.

He wants me to have experience in an office environment because that's the type of work most people do as their jobs after school or w/e.

not everyone works in an office after graduating post-secondary school. you don't really sound motivated to work anyways so why bother even trying?

I would be motivated if it was something I was good at or enjoyed doing... and because my parents would be 'beat' me

You'll be lucky if an office lets you clean their toilets. Companies aren't going to hire you just because your culturally backwards parents insist that you find employment in an office. They couldn't care less.

I'm aware of that...
I should just get a part time job at a supermarket or something..

Just to clarify, the word "tingz" is in fact acceptable corporate environment jargon.

are you serious? how old are you??
...and you're in second year university and don't already have a p/t job? if you don't have any work experience then good luck getting a job when you graduate. chances are it's not going to happen. only thing you'll end up doing in an office is emptying the garbage bins.
