So on blizzards website, an announcement has been made about open beta.
The open beta will start tonight at 10:00PDT, or 1AM for GTA people.


From Friday, April 20 at 12:01 p.m. PDT (noon), until Monday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. PDT you'll be able to log in, team up with friends, and play each of the five heroic classes to level 13 as you fight to save the world from the impending demonic invasion.


Anyone with a Blizzard account can play. If you don't have one, then go create one, download the client and play away...
You can begin downloading the Diablo III client right now (https://us.battle.net/account/download/index.xml)

This is open to NA people. Korean,Hong Kong, Macau, And Taiwan is not available to play.


Can all regions/countries participate?
Due to regional differences and features of the stress test client, Korean players will not be able to partake in the stress test weekend. However, beginning the week of April 23, we will be conducting*a*separate, invitation-only closed beta test that will give players in Korea a chance to try out the game, along with players in the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

I'm actually on the fence for buying the full game lol, I already have SC2, BF3 t sink all my time into on top of university. I loved Diablo and D2, but I am asking myself do I really wanna get D3 haha, probably would just borrow my friend's account when I feel the need to scratch my D3 itch, but open beta is gonna be great!

I think you can only add ppl in game, even though it says it's a Bnet tag, I dont see where you could add people on my bnet page...weird

It's pretty much the same for me.. I enjoyed the first two.. Countless hours spent playing this game..
Been playing the closed beta for a bit..
The more I played the beta the more i went away from the game. Not as good as I expected.. Maybe all our expectations have gone really high.. But then again the beta is limited so I guess we gotta wait till the full game comes out to actually experience the game for good...

Hey guys, I know we've had several Diablo 3 topics but this one I think deserves it own. As of this morning you can play Diablo 3 for free until the end of Sunday/Monday. All you need is to create a battle.net account, login and download the beta client. I also didn't see this posted anywhere else on the forums, if it is, please delete.

The client is around 5 gb to download and downloads reasonably quick depending on your bandwidth.

This is a good way to test the game if you're not sure if you want to buy it. Kind of like a temporary/time limited demo.

Been in the closed beta for months, leveled many chars to 13. Not much to do once you hit 13. Majority of the abilities are locked out.

Just to get a feel for the game, Also test out your computer to see If It can handle the best settings and what not.

No exclusives just for fun I guess.

My impression after going on the open beta is that it has the feel and replay ability of d2, and I remember playing so much countless hours on d2... Purchasing d3 based on that is good enough for me.

However, having been on the guild wars 2 beta too (which opens up to all prepurchasers next weekend for weekend events), the comparison between the d3 and the gw2 betas are night and day. Gw2 has the wow factor behind it and I'd recommend trying out the gw2 beta too... Totally different gameplay from d3 so one can't really do a straight comparison, but I'd say that gw2 is the more exciting product.

I think the 37 error mean it's their server wihich are overloaded.

So far I'm not impressed. I'm not surprise. When D2 was relased, I started playing it on patch 1.0.3. It was still full of bugs.

I even suspect there is going to have server problems on D3 release. Then Blizzard is going to BS us sending their PR that will say «we didn't expect such a success, yaddi yadda...»
