A Brazilian actor playing Judas who accidentally hanged himself during a scene in “The Passion of Christ” has died.

Investigator Jose Victor Bacetti told the G1 news website Klimeck accidentally hanged himself during a scene in which his character Judas commits suicide. Not laughing but can you imagine the audience applauding the "performance" and the comments:

I wonder what part people are leaving out.

Usually when people get hanged strange things start to happen to the bodies. Like turning blue, and other really nasty things.

My guess is he was supposed to hang there for the duration of the play and some unpleasant things, besides the blue face, drew their attention to the problem.

I was going to joke it was probably called the "Passion of Christ", but apparently it really was called, "Passion of Christ"


The actor had been in a coma since the accident on Good Friday earlier this month in the city of Itarare.

Guess he will never come out of that one, eh?

Sort of have to wonder whose idea it was to wrap the same rope around his neck as the one that was supporting his weight, eh? I can imagine someone saying not to worry, and just trust me, we do it all the time.

Looking at the video clearly, I don't think he died from the hanging rope around his neck cause the rope is clearly loose from what I see. The other rope is doing the hanging which is tie to his upper body.

Regardless something must have cut his oxygen.. Maybe the rope attached to his body was too tight on his lungs?
