If you told me I could get new tires on my car right here in Mississauga CHEAPER than if I went into the States....and in 30 minutes out the door....I would have laughed at you. Boy was I wrong! I was so impressed I wanted to leave a quick review of my own.
Looking for new tires for my 'dying breed' 13" rims was easier than I expected, given not a lot of manufacturers are making many options for tires this small these days. Anyway, after both doing my research online and reading feedback/opinions on RFD, the rave reviews that both Simply Tire and Tires23 were getting made me very curious. So after pricing out ordering online and installing in Buffalo, calling a couple of random tire shops in NY and the GTA and checking out places like Costco and Walmart, I called Tires23. I was surprised when he quoted me $340 all-in. This was only a few dollars more than my cost to do Tirerack and Buffalo install (and that was before I realized tax was already included in the price as well). And 10 minutes from my house! So I set-up the appointment.
My experience -
Price: Even though I was told "all-in" over the phone, I was expecting $340 plus tax or tire disposal fee or eco fee or some other dumb fee. Again, boy was I wrong. It was literally $340 all-in.
Convenience: Over the phone, I was told to budget about an hour. When I got there, I was told they'd be ready in 45 minutes or so. I was back in my car driving away literally 30 minutes from the time I pulled into the parking lot!
Knowledge: Both the guy I talked to on the phone and the guy I talked to while at the shop were obviously very knowledgeable about their products and industry. I felt good about the tires I was buying after chatting with them.
Appearance: Their customer waiting area is really nice. Clean, professional, comfortable, free wi-fi. Not that I spent very much time in it.... :-)
Conclusion: Top notch shop! I've probably only bought new tires maybe 5 or 6 times, but next time I am doing so will likely be at Tires23. I will also be recommending them to others in the area! Before this experience, I was one of those people that would have wondered, "why would anyone buy tires someplace other than Costco?". Now I know.
Thanks to other RFDers who recommended this place! And hopefully my review helps someone else too.

Anyone went to their Open House party this past Sunday (4/22), free food & drink and even additional discount for package deal if purchased on that day.

I have called and compared for a few different tires.
I feel like most GTA shops get their tires from the same places for roughly the same prices.
And tires23 does not jack it up much, similarly to SimplyTire, FactoryTire, etc..

I did, however, given the rarity of my tire size, I wasn't able to compare apples-to-apples, since many only had one, usually different, tire that fit. Tires23 had numerous and the best pricing. I called Active Green & Ross, OK Tire and Streetsville Tire, in addition to Canadian Tire, Walmart and Costco.
BTW: Not saying anything bad about these other places, everyone I spoke to was very pleasant over the phone.

A 2003 Accent. Reliable as heck, fantastic on gas, very easy and affordable to work on/maintain... The perfect commuter car. I expect/hope to keep it running for many years yet.

That's funny because according to RFD all Korean cars are very unreliable. "Japanese cars are the best!"

From my experience, SimplyTire beat out Tires23 in terms of pricing just a tad bit. I think from the select few shops around GTA, the lowest price will vary between shops. One shop might carry lower prices for some tires, but more expensive than other tires.

Did OP ask for a quote with tax included?
When I called for quotes, there are always tax on top of the quote, not all in.

When I was calling for quotes, I was asking for all-in, including mounting, balancing and all other fees. I didn't explicity mention tax. And in my experience, tax was never included in a quote. Which is why I was so surprised when I got the bill and the total WITH tax came to the number quoted. In fact, now that I think of it, one of the placed I called actually said, plus tax.

I've purchased two sets of rims and three sets of tires as well as brake pads/rotors from Tires23. With the exception of the brake rotors everything has always arrived on time. They helped me with choosing the right offset on my G when I couldn't find definitive answers on the web. Sizing was bang on.
Their pricing is in line with US pricing too. I've always been quoted taxes in, but I usually ask just to be safe.
They just up the road from my work so I usually just drop my car off at lunch and pick it up afterwards.
Very friendly staff too.

Billy and Crew are amazing. I've been buying my Mods/Tires since 2003, and later got my family & friends to buy from them too. All are very happy.

I've bought a total of 4 sets of tires from them:
Falken Azenis for an 87 MR2
Dunlop Wintersport 3D for a 2003 IS300
General Tire Altimax HP for a 2003 IS300
Michelin Defender for 2005 Echo Hatch
For most part they are amongts the lower end of the tire prices - I used to think they were the lowest but I have been finding slightly lower prices at Active Green and Ross on a few tires but everytime I try to get AGR to put it writing the final walk-out cost, they seem to stop. Billy on the other hand, always quotes ALL-IN. I hate surprises and I am always leery of places that quote super low and then slam on "this and that". For most part, I don't feel like I am being ripped off at Tires23, they need to make money too - just as long as they aren't making me pay through the nose like the car dealers.

+1 for Tires23. I got a winter tires + rims package from them last December for $700 flat, including all labour and taxes (16" tires/wheels, BTW). After getting a $100 rebate from Dunlop on top of that, I was a happy man. The guys are nice, knowledgeable, work efficiently and treat you well.

No tire shop - or any shop for that matter - is perfect ...instead, what you want to ensure is that they have a very high ' batting average ' of delivering exceptional customer service.

We're all humans, not every single customer will be happy. I went to these guys years ago when I had a rx7 FD and they were polite, professional and customer oriented. I haven't had the need to go back, plus it's in mississauga and I'm in Markham.

Exactly, even that other tire shop that's often discussed / cited on the forum seems to have had their fair share of ' dropping the ball ' with customers as well - as you say, they're all human...not ' perfect '.;)

I had a great experience at Tires23.
I bought new summer tires from them in May and had them installed on some wheels I bought from Tire Rack. The tires were Yokohama Avid Envigors and the wheels were just some cheap'ish cast Elbrus I02s (http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelFinish=Silver+Machined+w%2FIce+Coating&wheelMake=Elbrus&wheelModel=I02). When I got there, they inspected the wheels with me and pointed out any imperfections before starting work. They treated the wheels just like they would any more expensive set.
I think it was just over an hour from when I sat down to when they called my name.
They also gave me the best price on the tires compared to the other handful of shops I called in the Mississauga/Oakville area (though I can't remember the exact cost now).
My only complaint is the TV in the waiting room wasn't working (no signal) :P Also, they should get a bigger one. No worries though, I pulled up Netflix on my phone.
