Hi all,

about a month or so ago, i was flipping through the TV on Rogers Cable and saw something called Impractical Jokers on Action TV (its on truTV in USA) and I had a bad feeling it was gonna be another terrible and fake reality show like Operation Repo or something like that...however in the 10 minutes i watched this, i was laughing at all most everything and i got hooked... the show started just this past december and they have had 15 episodes so far.. I have seen every episode now and to me, its just great...at first i thought it was gonna be crap and just stupid, but nope, its hilarious...

anyone else watch this show? and if so, your opinions?

here is a video clip...NSFW i think...

One of the funniest shows I've seen...saw a clip off of World Star hip hop out of all places lol and I was hooked so I had to download all the episodes off torrents.

I heard about this show on the Tell 'me Steve-Dave podcast, Q is one of the co-hosts. I downloaded a bunch of episodes, and then the next week there was a marathon on cable. I though it was really funny, my wife who usually hates these types of show, really liked it.

Thanks a lot!

I had a mini marathon today. The klepto buffet was hilarious. Joe is just the most shameless guy and he gets away with it!

Gotta agree, this show is awesome. My favorite parts were when they went to the buffet and had to steal the most food off of someone else's plate, or take stuff from peoples carts in the grocery store.

I first caught it I think around 2 am on a weekend and have been taping it every since...Hilarious!

My favourite was the White Castle segment and taking orders in old english. "1 order of burgers of ham, 1 order of burgers of cheese.........'tis confusion, SQUIRE!"

Haven't heard of it before now but thanks! I started reading the Wikipedia entry on it:

Impractical Jokers follows the four members of the comedy troupe The Tenderloins as they coerce one another into doing public pranks while being filmed by hidden cameras. The show differs from other prank television programs in that the stars of Impractical Jokers do not know the details of the prank until the moment they are performing it on strangers. While one cast-member performs the prank, the other three comedians in the troupe are behind the scenes feeding lines to their friend via a microphone. The lines fed to the prankster are meant to create a humorous or awkward exchange between the prankster and the stranger being pranked.

I started laughing at that alone. So much potential. Will check out the show soon.

I think it's also coincidentally humorous that OP's avatar and the Youtube embedded freeze frame have very similar facial expressions.

That's so funny I've also recently got into this show and am about halfway through season 1. One of the funniest shows I've ever seen, these guys are so friggin funny. I was literally crying from laughter at the end of ep 3 (punishment) when Sal had to give a "motivational" presentation to a company and he didn't know what was on the presentation slides. Classic

OK, now I've made it through the first fourteen episodes. I was smiling the entire time at a minimum, chuckling through most of it, and laughing at some of the standout moments:

-Joe singing to himself nonchalantly while stealing food off people's plates at the buffet, especially approaching the one guy at his table to steal his food

-The shots showing three of the guys behind the scenes watching their friend in action where Sal falls over furniture howling with laughter

-The second White Castle episode where Joe hides behind the counter, crawls out the side exit, and reemerges through the front door to continue taking the customer's order

-Q's social awkwardness when canvassing signatures or gathering survey responses

-Any time the guys are required to freeze and the strangers just stand there

-Murr's excitement interviewing the stockbroker as a potential roommate

-Sal's bizarre behaviour during his interview of potential roommates

-Q the "Clown" versus "Mustache" at Costco

-"Who caked the bucket" at Costco

-Murr licking that bald guy's head at the jewellery store

-Q speaking in Olde English at White Castle wasn't awkward personally for me, but very well done and very entertaining

-I think it was Q who was required to throw the lady's pen in Times Square when canvassing signatures... I'd be surprised if he didn't accidentally hit anyone with it

Most of the banter and conversations that the guys have in between segments are hilarious, and really shows how good friends they are too.

Q is the most awkward, Joe is the most shameless/fearless, Murr probably pulls off the salesman/personable thing the best, and Sal is probably the silliest and got away from his early episodes where he was losing consistently.

^ ya that clip show this past week was BS.. seems like an episode that should have aired in the summer in between both seasons as a warmup to get you hyped...

the first episode of season 2, that dentist segment was friggin hilarious

^ saw it.. it was ok... but yes, another clips show is stupid.. i dunno why they r doing it like this.. u can even tell at the end that these two clip shows were meant to be shown in between season 1 and 2, because Sal tells you to enjoy season 2 when it starts lol...very stupid on their part.. they should have shown these two, back to back, and said that Season 2 starts on September 20th...but nope, they didnt..

Justification

^ I was just reading the shows wikipedia and apparently season 2 doesn't start until December. The four episodes that just aired were the end of season 1... and now it is on hiatus until December which is when season 2 starts. Very bizarre lol.

I kinda lost interest in this show. I found it really funny at first, but Id rather no show at all, rather than a clip show.

Even a show where they reveal themselves to their targets (reveal they are on a show etc, get peopels reactions) would be better than watching things I already watched not that long ago.

^ ya those 2 episodes were stupid, i agree.. but they have had 5 new episodes other than those 2 recap ones.. supposedly those 4 episodes (2 new and 2 recap) were a season 1.5... and season 2 actually started on Dec 13th with 2 new episodes and Dec 20 and 27 have each had one episode.. all 4 r solid episodes..still keeps me laughing and coming back
