True ... or just take the VIN to a local Ministry office and ask them to pull a report ... I would go that route as it is much more accurate ...

$10 - $50 is expensive?? You shouldn't be looking at cars. Transit is probably your best option. Far cheaper repairs.

Thanks! But if you're researching for couple cars the same time, it would cost you a fortune OR if the report comes out with bad history, you'll not buy the vehicle and end up paying all the $$ for nothing... :|

Better to pay the $50 and walk away from a bad car or pay $xyz and buy a lemon? You make the call. I do not see the problem.
