No more The Source in-store clearance?

The greatest thing about The Source is when they decide to clear some items out at ridiculously low prices. Sometimes it means you have to go digging a bit, but if you're in a major metropolitan area, usually there's so very many locations that they might not all be sold out at once.

Or at least that's how it used to be. :(

The "Clearance Outlet" link on thesource.ca now goes straight to http://www.thesource.ca/estore/outlet.aspx?language=en-CA . Before it used to go to a page that let you select between "Online Clearance" ( http://www.thesource.ca/estore/showcase.aspx?category=demo ) and "In-Store" ( http://www.thesource.ca/estore/outlet.aspx?category=browse+root ). But alas! It seems to have just changed.

A sad day. Is it still showing up for anyone else?

I know this post is three weeks old, but I just noticed the lack of in-store clearance today too. Very sad.

Mr. Abaddon mentioned at http://forums.redflagdeals.com/cheap-games-source-starts-96-a-1176577/12/ that it is feasible to run a script to blindly crawl the inventory for clearance items, but it doesn't run very quickly, apparently.


I think they are closing.That's a bit farfetched. Maybe they just got tired of people running around looking for items that weren't there because the online inventory hadn't been updated. But who knows?
