There's a trend in this pic. Notice no luxury brands?
This is perfect for the mainstream brands to bring more bling to their cars.
I think any red, blue, white lights in the back(except for brake/fog/reverse lights) is illegal isn't it? All depends on the cop's mood.
I wish there was an Acura one, Ragu should get one so it will light up when he's reversing.

I have never seen a lit emblem. Who would get a thrill out of advertising a car company's emblem?

The red ones should be fine on the back, the blue and white not so much. The white ones should be okay on the front (like the white LED DRLs on Audis). I'm not a lawyer though.

for it to be illegal it has to be a motion light (flashing) that is why it's illegal to have the older neon lighting in the red or blue colors....

I was just trying to say the law might hassle him b/c they'd have a reason to hassle him - gives them a cause.

Read section 62 of the HTA.
Subsection 14
No flashing red lights anywhere on your vehicle. (Hazard lights exempt)
Subsection 14.1
No front-facing red or blue lights. This includes glow from lights installed elsewhere on your vehicle.
Subsection 32
No flashing blue lights anywhere on your vehicle.
So technically, as long as they don't flash and you install the rear emblem only; red, white, and blue should be fine.

Not true
Red and blue lights to the front restricted
(14.1) In addition to the lighting requirements in this Part, a police department vehicle may carry lamps that cast red and blue lights, but no other motor vehicle shall carry any lamp that casts red and blue lights to the front. 2007, c. 13, s. 17 (2).
As you see... It says RED AND BlUE.. not RED OR BLUE
If you look at 15...
Red light in front
(15) In addition to the lighting requirements in this Part, a vehicle described in subsection (15.1) may carry lamps that cast a red light only or such other colour of light that may, with the approval of the ministry, be designated by a by-law of the municipality in which the vehicle is operated, but no other motor vehicle shall carry any lamp that casts a red light to the front. 1998, c. 35, s. 103.
No where in the HTA does it say you can't have blue in the front.

Touché, good point.
(edit: well I guess that was a bit redundant)
