iPhone 4 16GB - 10/10 mint condition

Purchased from a colleague, thinking that I could: simply stick in my Rogers SIM and it would work right away. However appears to be more complicated than that, and it needs to be unlocked with a "Gevey SIM". I found an alternate phone already on the Rogers network, so selling this one.

Genuinely not sure... I've tried all the Canadian SIMs but no success so far. Surely someone can figure it out, and get a good deal in the process.

I'm assuming it will most likely be AT&T.

Try calling them and see if you can get it unlocked, they were doing that for all AT&T iphone 3 to 4 (not 4s) about a month ago. I heard they stopped and are doing it only for though with AT&T accounts and if the phone is no longer on contract.

Many thanks for your response. So, I checked IMEI.info and got the information below. It's indicating locked to Rogers, but it's not accepting a Rogers SIM. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Could potentially be blacklisted on Rogers system due to reported theft. This could explain why rogers is not registering the sim. Unsure why the purchase country says France though, not sure how accurate that site is.
