I'm thinking of getting the new XPS 8500 and adding a 128gb ssd drive to it for a decent prebuilt light gaming and multimedia pc. I would prefer something fast. I'm hoping this setup is good enough to avoid building a custom computer. Any recommendations are appreciated. I need this ASAP.

Anyone with any knowledge? This setup has a 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge processor.

If you were to custom build it, would you need to buy Windows 7 or do you already have it?
If you need Win 7, you would save $50-100 building it yourself. Without win 7, there would be a significant savings of $150-200. I will always recommend building it yourself to get the best parts and best price, but that Dell is still a good machine if you wanted a pre-built.

I could possibly go without Windows 7. That would render my previous computer useless however so might as well get one with Win7. I'm hoping that this can still do some decent gaming and also am wondering how future proof this actually is. I made the mistake last time only worrying about the newest and fastest processor and not looking at other crappy things like integrated graphics card, 5200rpm HD, etc.
Also how easy is it to install a SSD in here? Does this come with the necessary disks to re-install windows 7 on the SSD and make it Genuine?
Thanks in advance again!!
