i want to buy something from amazon or ebay-parcel gift
and dont want it to ship to my house since its a gift. the person lives with me. i just want to pick it up at the post office

is this possible. i dont even want to give me a slip in the mail just to call me when it arrives and i pick it up at a shoppers or local post office
does anyone now i can do this and how much

this is canada post . i live in vancouver.

Get it shipped to your work or at a neighbours house. You can choose the option "card for pick up" but you will receive the card.

Best options if you want to keep it on the downlow. There's really no way to get it delivered without at the very least getting a delivery notice.

I don't even think you can modify the shipping options with Amazon as it's pretty automated. Best to just get it delivered to a "secure" address.

Call your local private mailbox type of store. The UPS Store would be one. They'll receive a package for you. As long as the merchent is okay shipping to address that's not on file with your CC company you should be good. Call before you order, as they may have some instructions for you.

They might charge you $5 or $10 but they'll certainly accomodate you.
