I'm looking for a low-usage pay as you go phone. I want a low-usage plan with a decent phone, preferably with wi-fi access. Data plan is not too important, as long as I have wifi.
Telus has a trade-in offer. I was thinking of this.
LG Optimus with google for $119. Includes $20 activation credit
- I will trade my old phone. The trade in value of the phone is zero, But they are giving a bonus of $50 for the trade in.
I will buy a $100 card and then good to go for a year
Just the basic pay as you go plan. Talk time is expensive - 30 cents per minute. No other frills.
This works to 400 mintues usable over the next year. That should be enough for my use.
Phone Price: $119.00
Trade in: -50.00
Phone Card $100.00
Total 169.00
HST 21.97
So, I pay $190.97, including taxes for a good Android phone, and a year of low use (400 minutes).
Is this good? Can someone comment if this is a good plan or is there something better?
