Hi,
I've just moved to a new apartment on College Street, downtown Toronto (between Ossington and Dovercourt) and my car has been towed from where it was parked on College Street. On the sign by the car it said that paid parking started at 9am - 6pm so I don't know why it was towed as I went to move this morning before 9am (at 8.45am).
I called the towing telephone number and the woman said something about it being a rush hour route. I wasn't aware of this and was going by the information on the sign on the road. It's going to cost $212 to get the car back.
Can I complain/try to get a reduction on this cost as I was genuinely unaware of any rules about rush hour and also didn't see anything about this law on any sign (otherwise I wouldn't be in this mess).
Any comments would be much appreciated.
THANKS
