We' ve been going to the Palladium for many years. It's just north of the Sirenis.

It's safe to take a dslr and a laptop to Mexico but never leave them unattended anywhere, which includes your room if you are not there. Always lock them in the safe and if you have your camera with you at the beach, lock it up to something if you are going swimming or otherwise leaving it alone.

I have stayed there and brought my notebook, and locked it in room safe.

I don't know this resort, but overall, I wouldn't trust the safe in the room.
