Someone email me around 11:30 last night saying they were interested in one of my Kijiji items and asked me to call their phone number. I didn't feel comfortable calling someone that late so I replied with an email and asked if they really wanted me to call them immediately. No reply. So I politely sent a second email telling them that I would call them this morning at 9am. Called them the first time this morning but my call went straight to some la-la-la music, no ringing, no "this person is not available" etc. Tried that three other times and each time it went straight to the music. Does this sound like a prank or should I try again?

Yep... some cell companies allow people to choose a song for people to hear rather than the traditional ring tone.

I hate the ring backs. I wish there was an option on the callers side to never hear it.

Yeah, it's called ringback.
My sister was told by several places that they didn't want to interview her because it seemed that she wasn't serious.

I would get that impression too.
Any time I hear a ring back I just think that this is probably the cool thing for kids in high school.
For anyone older it just seems childish.

Exactly my thought! I thought I got pranked by a high school kid who pretended to be interested in my old sewing machine. It just didn't feel right plus it made me feel so last generation!

My friend was having a hard time getting job interviews and i finally told him to get rid of his stupid ring back... People don't always share musical tastes and no-one's going to take you seriously if you force them to listen to (what they deem) crappy pop music for tweens if they want to call you, and that's the very first impression they get of you which just screams immature teenager.
Shortly after removing it he was employed.
