I've been with Koodo since 2008 and currently have the following plan with an unlocked and rooted Samsung Captivate SHG-1897:

$20 Canada Wide Plan (per second billing) 100 anytime minutes & Unlimited evenings/weekends after 7pm
$10 Unlimited Text/Picture Messaging / Caller ID / Voice Mail
$15 500MB Data

$45 Total which is $50.85 after taxes

This plan has been serving me well however I am in need for more data and could make use of 2-10GB's if I didn't have to fork out $100 a month for it. I basically use my cell phone for its unlimited texting and data when I am out of Wifi areas.

Should I try to speak with Koodo or seek alternatives such as a Promo with Telus / Rogers / Bell?

Oh really $30 addon for 6GB's would be worth it! Is this possible by calling a specific number or speaking with a Koodo Sales rep in person? I personally rather call and speak to someone in the know, over the the sales reps at our local mall.

I've tried the Data Flex Plan where you get up to 3GB's for $30, I'm just trying to view all my options. Paying $15 for 500MB has been cheaper for me as $15 on the Flex plan offers 101MB to 300MB.

Thanks for the quick replies :)

I've never seen the 6gb plan, but the data saver would be a great deal for you.

I've upgraded to the 2GB addon which will do for now.. This works out to approx 67MB a day when you look at the average of ... 2000MB/30 Days.

Calling Koodo twice seemed to be a big waste of time, customer service had no intention to offer me any deals or perks for being a long time customer. Clearly 3.5 years of loyalty and over $1500 doesn't equate to much with this company :!:

Once I figure out where I'll be living (I just graduated from College) I will then decide on which cell phone provider to go with. I am a bit surprised of how apathetic the customer service reps actually were!
