View Full Version : Canada Post Stamps - Time to go!

Generally , I come to the post office to send some random mail and until recently I've just paid the fee (intra-Canada), gave the envelope and was done with it.
Now, when I pay for the mailing the clerk always gives me a stamp and tells me to put it on by myself. Can someone clarify why in the world don't Canada Post employees have devices that will wet the stamp and stick it on the envelope???
WHY do we have to lick these damn stamps and subject ourselves to potential health problems? Who in the world came up with a decision to release stamps like this?
These corporate scumbags at Canada Post opted out for a cheap solution to pass costs and diseases on to the consumer. Why not make self-adhesive stamps? How is this stuff not regulated by consumer Health agencies?? This is Canada or Vietnam?
Now when I mail my envelopes I have to carry a glue stick with me or just spit on the damn stamp!
For anyone wondering why you should NOT lick stamps / envelopes..

Well I guess if you are concerned about dead rats in the glue you could rub the stamp in your spit and not have it come in contact with your tounge. I just hope I am not in the lineup behind you when you do.

A lengthy absence could be explained by glue/decaying rat body poisoning induced coma.

I don't live here, unlike you, but that's another point.
All, I'm saying is that not only Canada Post is extremely overpriced vs other postal services and yet they can't accommodate such a simple task and I have to go through this crap along with many others.

They do. I can't remember the last time I saw a CP stamp that wasn't a sticker.

Licking stamps? What is this, the '90s? I have self-adhesive stamps, I've had them for a while now, just buy yourself a pack. You don't want to over-lick and die do you!
