Which one do you prefer and why? Feel free to comment on engine, design, best bang for the buck etc.

Different people have different opinions. Either way you can't really lose with either car, both offer great value for your buck.
It would help if we knew which trims, V6 vs 2.0T, V8 vs V6?

Different people, different taste.
I personally think the Mustang is Hella ugly. Buy what you like.

I would like to keep the budget at around 30k or under. I think any more than that would be too much for something of so little utility.

Mustang! Among so many other thing (like looks, engine, comfort, etc), I like it for its history. I'm into retro American Muscle so the Hyundai wasn't an option for me.

I would prefer the Mustang. My history, more edge, more power.
Genesis is nice and sleek. But image wise, I think a Mustang is way better, and worth the buy relative to the Genesis.

gen coupe for me, because i just bought one :P
But overall i just like the style of it more..........found the mustang too boxy and boring looking.......i've never driven one but can only imagine how powerful the stang must be.........but yeah, overally just liked the exterior and interior of the gen coupe more
awestruck

I'd go for Mustang unless you're going for the 2012 Gen Coupe, which IMO looks nicer and more aggressive than the 2013 redesign. Drop it 1-1.5", smack a few visual mods on it and the vehicle will look really nice.

Mustang all the way. Genesis is a nice car too.
If both car had a gender, the Mustang would be the man and the Genesis the woman. ;) Just an opinion.

I love the 2013 GC but can't stand how ugly the front it. The new mustang has improved a lot too. I think if i was shopping mid 30ks, I'd take the mustang with the bigger engine, if im looking at under 30, id take the GC r-spec and buy a new front kit.

LOL
Apples to oranges. Torque steering FWD cars aren't fun. We have a V6 accord coupe in the family, and whiles its a great car, its a different driving experience vs the mustang and gen coupe.

Ive driven both and ended up buying the Genesis. Genesis looks sexier inside and out (IMO) and also handles the corners much better. It just feels very tight. Mustang has alot of power and is more refined in terms of road noise, but it just feels like a heavy car and does not have the same nimble feel that the Genesis has. That being said, I'd prefer if less people buy the Genesis...keeps it more unique lol.

you're supposed to compare the accord coupe to bathtubs like the eclipse and altima coupe.

If you wanna buy your vehicle based on popularity then just get an F-150 and be done with it
Get whichever car YOU like, after all you're the one paying for it!

Genesis Coupe! In V6 trim, the Genesis is an all-round better performing car.

The more I look at the GC the more I don't like it.
Actually a V6 Stang with handling Pkg would be best choice.
