I've made many orders for pick up with pizzhut.ca before. Today, I tried the Deals section in their website and ordered the items I listed below. When I got to the restaurant for pick-up, they said I needed a coupon or I will have to pay $5.xx more. No where in my email or in the ordering process indicated that I needed a coupon. They even have a section on the website for a coupon code, but I didn't even put anything in there!

It is not even legal for them to con consumers like this. That is just so wrong. Do I want to order from this place ever again? Definitely NOT!

My order summary in email:

From their website (on every single page I've seen)

Pricing, participation, delivery areas and charges may vary by location.

So they're likely covered legally. Still a ridiculous policy.

More BS to allow a franchisee to do whatever the hell they like. I wish more chains would have a asterisk or whatever on their websites to denote a corporate owned store.

Much better than dealing with a small time dictator.

The store could've have at least given the customer a call stating they wouldn't honor the order.

Did you take the food, or just walk out?

I've had places pull that after I have an online invoice. Both times I said see ya later and tried to leave, 1 of 2 honored the price at that point, the other lost the sale and wasted product.

But the OP had to indicate the pickup location. If there was an additional charge for that location or it wasn't a participating location, it should have come up at that time, so that the OP could decide whether or not to continue with the order. Offer and acceptance. Pizza Hut offered the product for that price, the OP accepted so is that not a contract? I'm not sure that disclaimer is valid the moment the OP entered the restaurant location.

OP, I hope you left without the food. If people pay this extortion, they will continue to do it.

Unbelievable! 2hrs and 15mins to get a pizza. Order was placed at approx. 10:14pm... arrived at 12:29 in the AM!!! They've got 1 delivery guy on a busy Saturday. Called back 4 different times and had 3 different people pick up with different excuse. (Use those cashiers to go help with deliveries if it's so bad, dumbies!)

Delivery guy shows up with so many different excuses one being how he "doesn't understand why they put in so many orders on the weekend." Are you kidding me?

Pizza shows up cold and soggy. Atrocious!! (Again, it was 2 HOURS AND 15 MINS.. I can't stress that enough!)

To say nonetheless, we got credited back our money... Thank goodness. But they wanted to just credit us for our next order, and that wasn't gonna fly for us. I don't believe after this bad of an experience, I would ever want to order from them again. At least not for delivery!
