I've noticed that a lot of deliveries made in the city that I live, are made by independent drivers.

Are these hired by the outlet stores, or is it somehow done directly by canada post?
Does anyone know around how much money they make?

Thanks for any info!

What city is this?

There are two types of contractors: RSMC (rural suburban mail courier)

And independent urban services contractor. Each have a different process for hiring. RSMC need their own vehicles usually and they get a mileage allowance.

Brandon, MB. (population around 50,000), so I'm guessing they likely aren't rural suburban mail couriers?

The definitely drive their own vehicles though - unless the Canada post fleet includes a 90s ford festiva.
