Diablo 3 Collector's Edition Amazon problem

Has this happened to anyone else before? Any suggestions on what to do?

I was just informed that my credit card was declined on Amazon so my pre-order of the Collector's edition was cancelled. I have no idea why it was declined, and I called to see if I could get it uncancelled and they told me sorry they can't do anything about it. It is now sold out everywhere, and Future Shop says they will have 3 for sale tonight if you line up outside. I have to be up to go my summer job at 6 am, so going and waiting in line at midnight and not getting it would suck since I wouldn't even be back home until after 1 am.

I know it isn't out yet, but figured early bird gets the worm.... If anyone happens to have a spare set of Diablo 2 keys they don't need from the Collector's edition, I would be eternally grateful if you could PM them to me. I had hoped to get the cool datakey and other goodies, but I will settle for the regular version I guess.....

Not sure what you mean, how can I download the USB datakey? it's a physical thing. To download the Digital versions of D2 and LOD from Blizzard you need the keys on your account first, which should have come with my Collector's edition, that Amazon randomly cancelled on me.

the collectors edition was sold out weeks ago. There was no way you were getting one. You only got one if you were lucky. Its a very limited amount that were being sold.

OP, call your CC company and find out what happened (was there a pending charge you forgot about?) - although, I doubt Amazon can do anything at this point. :(

That is weeks ago. It is already 2 weeks into May.

Probably entered your CC number wrong... that sucks. Well the only way to get it now is to pay double the price ($185-$200) on ebay.

Lol no. OP, keep an eye on the online retailers, there's sure to be stock fluctuations. Happened with SC2. GL.

I got an extra CE that I was procrastinating on cancelling (short but stupid story) you can have at cost + shipping, unless you're ever in the area. Sorry I didn't see your thread earlier, a friend of a friend was heading back up to Thunder Bay for school or something I think.

Doubtful as name and security pin (three 3 digit on the back) would not match.

Amazon probably screwed up somewhere.

I checked with my CC company and they said they did not decline anything related to my account, and that my account is in good standing. I have bought off Amazon before and my CC info is saved to my account. As for Amazon, I called again, and they said that it was already resold, they appologize for the inconvience. Their warehouse is showing 0 copies in stock, however if one is returned I will be notified. I was given a coupon on my account as compensation...

I called EB (Both locations), Walmart, and Future Shop (no Best Buy here), and none of them have stock.

Darn I would have picked it up from your friend. Not sure I would ever be in your area, and I just checked, based on the weight and dimentions of it, the quote I got to mail it was like 25% of the price of it. Thank you very much for your kind offer.
