Yes, very happy. I do store it in the shed during the winter. Got mine at InsideOut.

It's worth it to spend a bit more money up front. Good quality ones will last for awhile. Avoid the garbage they sell at Loblaws (RCSS), Walmart, Canadian Tire. Those never last more than a few years.

+1
Love mine too, got it from South Port
I leave the cushions out all season long, even in the rain. I take in the cushions for the winter, and cover the set with a custom cover.

Thank you guys for getting back to me. For that kind of money I better get this furniture looking good and be in good shape after few years. Anything specific you guys know of to look for in such furniture?

Its going onto its 5 year and I don't have any complaints.

I cover the cushions when it rains and bring it in, in the winter

The furniture in winter gets tarpped and sits under blocks.

I have nasty raccoons and birds that did a work of art on my outdoor patio seats. But they haven't touched the wicker set yet.

Cheers !

Couple things to look for. First, you will most likely be buying synthetic fiber wicker furniture. Make sure it's polyethelene and not PVC. PVC is crap. The weather will destroy it and it leaches toxic garbage into the environment. Second, make sure it's an all aluminum frame and not steel. Steel will rust and one day, you'll be sitting on the patio enjoying a Mai Tai, the next thing you know you're on your ***** with your Mai Tai all over your face and your dog licking it.

I made the mistake of being cheap and having to replace my patio furniture after only one year. Who could argue $15 per chair at Loblaws? Second time around, I spent thousands and the stuff still looks great today.

How acurate is this though? I mean, I was at CT this weekend past and a seat was $500!! Is it really a $2000 garbage set?

I have a friend who is a buyer at CT. She says most of the stuff they sell is crap. They need to appeal to the lowest common denominator so they stock their shelves with cheap junk. Not many people will go to CT looking for a $2000 patio set. But they need to carry everything to compete with all the other stores. And they're ok with it breaking after a few years and having the same noobs come in to purchase another set.

I believe in spending good money once, and keeping it for years as opposed to spending little money now, but replacing it every few years.

I got a set of the plastic stuff , I call it Plicker . I've had it
about 5 years . Steel frame sits out all year I throw the cushions in
a deck box . Great stuff can"t complain , got it at Wall Mart.

That patio furniture is exactly what we are looking for but on a smaller scale... we only need a loveseat and two chairs.

We're looking to get either a sofa OR two oversized club chairs with ottomans.
If anyone has experience with these, which do you find most comfortable, practical, etc if you could only choose one?

Personally I would not be sitting on the ottoman, better if you get 2 club chairs & maybe 2 armless chairs? Otherwise get the sofa.

Patrob - Wow, nice! Can you tell me rough dimensions of your deck? I am in the process of designing one for us and would like to include a living and eating area like yours. I plan to do 19 x 16 but one side of stairs wrap around (which will eat some space as you can put things right up to the edge of the deck) and wondering if this size would be sufficient.

Thanks :) You might have to do a smaller L shaped sectional & maybe 1 chair. Our deck is more rectangular, yours will be more square so placement of furniture will be slightly different but you can make it work. You will have to flip your table the other way. Our table is 4ft. x 8ft. and most tables are not wider than 40", we made our table ourselves :D
