Have a couple generic cuff links from like Mexx, etc.

Nicest pair I have are these Baccarat crystal cuff links that a friend gave me as a best man gift (expensive at like $350-$400 a set):

http://www.mulberryhall.co.uk/images/baccarat/cufflinks/ruby-rock-cufflinks_13328.jpg

Like the overall look, but hard to match bright red cuff links with many shirts/suits, so they don't get too much use...I guess I need to wear brighter colours in general

I bought it from Al @ Archerwatches.ca, he does have vintage stuff for sale from time to time, you'll just have to email him and ask.

That's nothing. Look at Montblanc cufflinks, they're $500 and up.

Want expensive? Ebay "Cartier cufflinks"...

You reach a point where you ball so hard, you can do whatever you want I guess!

I personally think cuff links are a complete rip-off (for what they are), so all of mine are of the "fun" and cheap variety. I'll post a few when I get home.

I rarely wear them though because I hate ironing the french cuffs... can't afford to have someone do it for me.

I wish. In trade for potential toy purchases, I am responsible for laundry, dishes, car repair, yardwork, etc!

If you don't floor the gas pedal at 1 stop light, you probably saved enough in gas to buy a pair of ebay links :)

You can acquire some very beautiful vintage sterling or gold cufflinks online for a good price. Cufflinks are basically jewelry for men. Why the heck would you guys buy cheap "jokes" cufflinks? That is not sexy.

lol, i don't have that problem haha, but i feel for you.

i was only kidding, i do have cufflinks, a set of LV's, Montblanc's and Zegna's cufflinks, i just don't know where they are. Cause like I said, i no longer wear dress shirts that require them. Even on special occasions, i just wear a normal dress shirt.

You're right. Cufflinks are like jewelry. Does everyone always wear fancy and serious jewelry? Of course not. There's times for serious jewelry and time for fun stuff. It's a matter of character and expressing yourself.

Nobody wearing transformers cufflinks would be trying to be sexy, at least I hope not

Finally, I can participate in this thread! Just got my cufflinks today. They're the "Striped Shell Cufflinks" (http://www.indochino.com/product/Striped-Shell-Cufflinks) from Indochino. I paid nothing for them as they were part of the gift bundle for purchasing a suit from them. Unfortunately they'll likely never see wear because I don't have any shirts with French cuffs.

The abalone was difficult as sin to photograph, but here are the pictures anyway.

Lol I didn't realize that cufflinks were a sign of seniority or of wealth. Just seems like its nicer then using a button to me lol. Here's a nice plain pair of mine that go well with most shirt. Just simple silver with black in between the lines. Dad bought them for me for graduation from Harry Rosen.

Not sure what you are getting at exactly, but I don't think wearing cufflinks makes you superior/richer then anyone else. Some shirts require it, while others need a button. I guess many or maybe most high end dress shirts do require cufflinks though.

So if someone has an expensive dress shirt that requires cufflinks, I don't really understand what there is to laugh or joke about. Can't make fun of someone for wanting to wearing high quality garments or be wanting to wear cufflinks.

For clubbing and stuff I guess it wont make much difference

But it looks huge d-bag silly for, lets say, a recent uni/college grad to be wearing cufflink to a job/interview*

Hmm interesting point of view. What comes to your mind if someone were to be interviewing you and wearing a nice dress shirt and tie with say the cufflinks I posted. Would that give you a bias against that person? And for what reason?

Dress shirt/suit/tie I cant really tell expensive ones vs cheap ones

Even cheap ones look nice if you get the right fit + colours

Just from my pov, I havent seen other interns/jr analyst at my workplace or other places wearing cufflinks

wallstreetoasis and other forums talked about it; general consensus is it makes you look like a "d-bag" if you wear them as a Jr/intern

I have nothing against wearing cufflinks at work but, personally, I would avoid them until I'm higher in the corporate ladder.

I like wearing cufflinks. I don't wear them everyday. They're a bit different than your average button cuff that you see everywhere. I don't see them as being pretentious. I just use them to change up my wardrobe during the week.

The first is a carbon fibre texture
Second is a H-gate shifter pattern
Third is real computer circuit board pressed into a cufflink
Last is a CTRL and ESC key combination

It is not recommend job searchers to wear cufflinks to interviews because they distract the interviewer, not because it is *********gary. It is the same idea that it is not recommended for them to wear flashy patterned shirts or whatever, not because they look *********gary. Also wearing expensive jewelries may make me perceive the person as having way higher salary expectations than what we have budgeted the role for. We have turned down people simply because we don't think the dude with the rolex and LV briefcase really wants this midlevel job. But anyway, I don't think the people here were suggesting others to wear links for interviews.
