anyone know where i can buy either of these bottles? they are not the expensive stuff from hennessy, but id still like them for my bar... if you have either or are going on vacation where they sell these and can bring them back i will purchase them off you for above cost for your troubles...

It'll have to be shipped ground mail specifically.
You'll also have to pay duty+taxes.

By the way, fin de cognac is a very lovely bottle. I had the pleasure of experiencing it during my travels in the US... it is CHEAP down there!

Ground mail specifically. So you'd have to use a courier.

I know DHL can handle 'hazardous goods'. I've used them to ship ammunition within Canada. So if they can handle that, I'm sure they can handle some alcohol.
I imagine that you might get dinged pretty hard with taxes and duties...

Both of these are difficult to find here in North America.

There are a few specialty importers int he US that may stock Fine de Cognac.
Fine de Cognac is primarily exported to Britain. It is considered about a VSOP. It is often designated as a "Special Edition" and has things like limited edition stoppers by French glass companies

The White is a designer cognac, catering to the "club" crowd. Designed to be used a a mix in cocktails but can also be had neet. White is contrast to Hennesy Black, a similar "designer' cognac. White is normal found in Europe and the Caribbean whereas the Black is here and in the US. White and Black are less than a VS.

I have never seen either in Ontario (LCBO) or in the places I shop in the US.

Afaik you are not allowed to import alcohol in Canada as an individual. Even if you have a license to represent a manufacturer, all imports are still done through the LCBO. Let's think for a second here - if it was possible, don't you think everyone would do it? Even with shipping, it would be considerably cheaper than the LCBO's crazy prices...

id love to have that bottle obviously, but the price is a little crazy in my eyes and i max out at the XO.

Do you know you can ask LCBO vintages to private order it for you through the agent? They can get it, but it might be better if you buy a case or 2 to make the fees worth while and promote it heavily at your bar.
