Ojam,
I dont know you well and only saw you a few times here on RFD but I randomly bumped into your blog. However I spent a better part of my Friday evening reading it and let me tell you that I think it was one of the best Friday evenings I spent that didn't include anything having to do with Girls.
Anyway's congratulations on your transplant, your remarkable story and how you overcame your struggles has inspired me and you are a real champion. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful stories it was pretty touching. You been through some long and hard days and Im glad to see that you are appreciative of your parents -- you certainly should! :)
Much respect Man.. Much respect!!

ojam is a rfd hero?
Ojam was called in 2 weeks ago for a kidney transplant and was finally operated on a few days after.
He's been waiting years for one (or rather, another one).

Totally agree with you, it makes you appreciate life and be thankful to what you have and to NEVER EVER GIVE UP and that's what I hope others understand too instead of fret about the pesky things in life.
I know this thread has no content and some will argue to have it locked but if they can run endless threads about Ford, TTC, tips, dating, gays and whatnot then why not something inspirational from within our own rfd.. I mean its just a small space that's all..

I don`t agree with you about it not having content. If the good news about a regular poster can`t be discussed then what is the point of anything. I think it`s one of the better threads.
Congrats to you Ojam. I cannot imagine what it must be like for you to have gone through this. Glad to hear the operation went well and you`re feeling better.

So true! This isn't going to be locked as it's far from low content BTW! :D Far too many don't yet have the concept of what is really important in life, that comes with time and experiences. ;)
Ojam, I saw you slip the news in that other thread when asked where you had been. I was going to congratulate you then but it just didn't seem the right place to do it. Here's to hoping this one is good, a good, long time!

Sleep a good nights sleep. ;) I will be able to travel more, really nothing holding me back now except for making sure I have enough medication with me if I go out of town.

I have my organ donor card signed in my wallet. :)
Just knowing that my organs improve multiple people's quality of life (or save them) makes me happy. I'm also a regular blood donor. It's in you to give. lol
Maybe it's karma that I haven't had any major ailments. :-0

I was thinking about a friend who had a kidney transplant (unknown doner) and he said afterwards that he craved food that pre-trans he did not care for. He insisted that it must have been a craving from the new kidney and that this is not uncommon for people with transplants. I always thought that strange but who knows.
Thanks for not doing a "Pakardbell" with the twig and berry part. Really, the text was more than sufficient.
I hope you are soon complaining about nothing like the rest of us.

You know it's kind of strange, before I liked greasy food, but after I'm craving healthier stuff, I've taken a real liking to Fresh spring rolls and Shrimp, where as before I was kind of a fries and burger type guy. Maybe it's also wanting to make sure I stay healthy because I'm also walking more than I ever did too. After my 6 weeks of not being able to lift or strain myself I'm planning on taking up Yoga.
