Made with pork chicken and beef?
the pic just looks like pepperoni?
where is the chicken and the beef???
Dominos always has a cheap deal here and the local pizza place has a large 15" 3 topping for $14 and it is HUGE...and pretty good.

I think they mean that the pepperoni is made from pork, beef and chicken.

Seen Tombstone advertised on US stations.
Seems popular but that's marketing for you.
Would have liked to try one at $3 before diving into a 3 pack though.
My favourite frozen pizza right now is Dr. Oetkers Panabello.
Their bread crust comes closest to Pizza Huts greasy crispy crust.

Nestle is testing the waters on this brand in what is called an "in-out" within the Canadian marketplace. Nestle now owns this brand as well as the Dellisio/Di-Giorno brands which it purchased from Kraft in 2010.

I did see Di Giorno on a flyer last week too. Anyway, since it's Nestle, I'll boycott as usual.

Their large [pepperoni] pizzas are roughly a little more than 1kg. This? 1.8kg (the smallest of the two). You're saving 3 bucks if my math serves me correct. But hey, go nuts - I always found Pizza Pizza to be of the generic grocery-store quality taste anyway.

Tombstone is just another label that Nestle has that they can put on anything they want for marketing purposes. Like the other poster said, it is an in and out to gauge the market here for the LABEL and marketing. It is just another same ol same ol ho hum frozen cheap pizza. This is the same thing that Campbells did with their "pace" brand labels. They did an in and out, and now I find it harder and harder to find any shelf space stocked with it. With the American market in the tank, all these multinational companies are/were trying different approaches to keep their market share growing. What we are seeing up here is the results of years of bad US economy forced, new market integration plans rolling out by the manufacturers. Now that the US economy seems to be turning around somewhat, us Canadians will be shucked aside as usual by competition in the market so these companies can focus on the juggernaut US economy to fuel their bottom line. Lather rinse and repeat. It is all cyclical. I have been in the marketing and sales game long enough to spot these trends and cycles.

Tried the pizza and back with reviews! It had a nice crunchy crust to it and an ample amount of toppings (deluxe pizza). Liked the fact that it had enough sauce as well so that the pizza didn't feel like cardboard. $9.00 for three is a good alternative to ordering from Pizza Pizza at least. I would buy them again for convenience sake but it didn't wow me into thinking that I would rather eat it instead of a fresh made pizza.

Tried the pepperoni box (3 for $9 from Food Basics) and found it pretty good. I didnt make it crusty although I think I'll try that next time.
Seeing as how I usually see other frozen pizzas go on-sale at $3 a piece, this is pretty good at regular price for $9. Good size, good ingredients (enough pepperoni to cover the entire pizza before it was cooked), good sauce + amount. Enough to get me to buy this over the other ones. I'll try Deluxe sometime too.

I haven't seen the Tombstone pizzas around Calgary nor have I tried them. When it comes to frozen pizza, Costco has some really good stuff. I don't recall the brand right now but it sells with three pizzas in a box for around $9.50. The box is the red and black (I believe.) The quality is a lot better than the other brands of frozen pizza although I think it may only be available in Pepperoni at Costco.
Edit: I went digging through some of the old Costco West Deals threads to find the pizza. This is the Costco stuff that it really quite good. Price appears to be around $13 for three. I recall paying around $9 last week but they were likely on sale.

I know it's frozen pizza and it's meant to be cheap but I couldn't believe the amount of sodium in this when I checked it out at food basics yesterday. I sometimes indulge with delissio's, which also has really high sodium. This is by far the highest I've seen it. 1 serving (113 grams) is 23% of your daily intake. Most guys will eat 3 slices, that's 69% of your daily sodium intake, depending how you cut the pizza.

It's 5.75 servings per pizza based on the 648g size. I guess in your case, if someone ate the whole pizza, they would be consuming 130% of their daily sodium intake. Then again, a person who eats a whole pizza probably doesn't care much about their health:)

it's quite amazing how so many people still think that salt is bad.
it must be how our mind works. if something is ingrained in our mind that something is 'bad', it basically gets stuck there and becomes enshrined.
i can't recall how many times i've told my friends that salt isn't bad, and they refuse to believe it.

Salt isn't bad per se, but moderation is the key word. Recommended daily intakes are there for a reason, and 130% for what's barely even a meal probably isn't wise.

that ny times article is absolutely terrible. chronic daily overdoses of salt intake from food has nothing to do with the electrolytes needed for sports. and yesi know that wasn't the main point of the article but there weren't any hard facts and cited evidence stated either.
if you drink a cup of sea water, what happens? you die. your kidneys fail immediately and there's no coming back from that. with the same logic if you overwork your kidneys daily for years of course they are going to fail.
i'm all for keeping an open mind but saying that salt isn't bad for you is a fallacy.

although it would be interesting, i have nothing to gain from this. if you win you get money and if i win i get anonymous internet pride which means absolutely nothing to me. on top of that there are ways to win the bet such as hyper-hydration and you obviously have immediate access to fresh water to flush yourself, and a hospital iv if it even came to that which it most likely wouldn't with 250ml of fake sea water. i'd atleast want to see you drink some fish poo :)

What I thought of this Pizza?.. let's just say if Tombstone had a Pizzeria, the conversation would go much like this..
- "What would you like on your cardboard?"
"A slab a tomato paste, please. Oh - and some pepperoni, too!"
SMH. I'll have to try it again when it's less overcooked. I tend to enjoy my frozen pizzas a little crispy, but I don't think it'd make much of a difference in flavor - the crust was like cardboard and the rest of the pizza was mediocre. It was like the "Pizza Pizza" of frozen pizzas.

I don't what happened to the Delissio/Creschendo pizzas in the last 2 years but when I eat some today, it just tastes awful, especially the thick crust. It's like i'm eating cheap bread with some cheap cheese on top. I used to eat those regularly a couple of years ago and they were much better before. Either it's true or my taste buds have gone mad.
I agree though that Costco Pizzas are better than the average frozen Pizza, but I always find them more expensive than usual too.

2 years ago, the Delissio brand was bought by Nestle (used to be owned by Kraft). They must have changed something in the recipe. I've noticed this too, like the crust was more 'chemical' tasting.
The Costco pizzas are fresh at least, and only $12 for 2.

. . . so it should come as no big surprise that Tombstone is also a Nestle brand. It, too, was formerly owned by Kraft.
The good news is for people who actually enjoy these pizzas that they will likely become very widely available. If your local grocer doesn't have 'em this month, they probably will soon enough. Nestle are a very aggressive marketer.
SA Piazza -- who are certainly no Nestle but are nevertheless another fairly major player in the factory pizza biz in North America -- have countered the Tombstone threat to their marketshare by introducing Wild Mike frozen pizzas, whose key selling point seems to be size (I think they're like 16" or something.) We tried one the other day because they were on sale at Safeway. There's no mistaking that manufactured texture, but to be fair the sauce was nice and tangy and the amount of cheese was pretty decent. We enjoyed it more than any Delissio or McCain's we've tried, so might be worth a shot for anyone looking for an alternative. You can get them at Safeway, if you live out West.

I noticed they are back in the new Giant Tiger flyer (2 pack/$5.97) so I went to pick some up but they are delayed and GT is substituting single packs of Delissio for them (no deal there). They did tell me that they sold very well and they have just had trouble keeping them in stock.
